Look at the picture at the top of this article. Do you know what it is? It's a special kind of library created by Junya Dohi. I met him last March at a Shizuoka Ted Talk presentation.

「ダンボール」は日英ちゃんぽん。「段」状の「ボール紙」との意味でしょう。「ボール」はballではなく、日本人の耳にboard(板紙) が「ボール」と聞えたのかも。確かに「ボード」より「ボール」の方が実際のboardの発音に近そう。

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I want to tell you about something that happened at the beginning of the year in Japan. There was a big earthquake in the Noto peninsula, up in the north of Japan.
