暗唱したことはあっても、人前で披露した人はより少ないのでは？ なぜこう訊くかというと、最近、人前での暗唱が語学学習に良いと2度実感したからです。 一度目は英語の歌。 地元市で、英語でゴスペルを歌うクリスマスイブ一夜限りの市民合唱団に参加しました。 歌う曲は3曲。5回位の合同練習を経て最終的には暗唱・暗譜しなければなりません。 特に３曲目は男声のソロまで。

These are educational activities outside regular lessons, like math, science, and PE, as well as extracurricular activities or club activities such as baseball and basketball clubs, which might be more familiar to schools abroad.

中高の英語教師だった頃、海外からの留学生等を授業に招き、生徒に英語で話してもらってました。ある時ネパール人留学生に、生徒（中学生）が質問。Have you ever climbed Mr.Fuji? おそらく生徒は、「まだです。有名な富士山に登るの楽しみ！」のような答えを期待してたのでしょうか。
